Introducing the ANTE Digital Engineering Internship Program
The industry's youngest and brightest engineers, building Outcome.GG toward beta.
Today I'm excited to announce the launch of the ANTE Digital Engineering Internship Program — a hands-on program built around a simple belief: the best way to build the future of competitive gaming is to put the industry's youngest and brightest engineers at the center of it.
Our interns aren't here to fetch coffee or shadow from the sidelines. They're here to build. The work our team does over the coming months is the work that carries Outcome.GG to beta — and eventually to a full public launch. Our interns are a core part of that team.
Why We're Doing This
Competitive gaming is built by the generation that grew up inside it. That's not marketing — it's a genuine advantage. The students joining us understand the culture, the players, and the platforms in a way that can't be taught. When you pair that instinct with real engineering responsibility, remarkable things happen.
So we made a decision: rather than staffing the road to launch entirely with veteran hires, we're investing in emerging talent and giving them the tools, mentorship, and ownership to do the real work. It's good for the product, and it's good for the next generation of engineers who deserve a shot at something meaningful.
Starting at UNC Wilmington — Open to All
Our first cohort includes a talented group of students from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. It's a natural home base for us — UNCW is where our Head of Esports Operations, Dr. Ray Pastore, has spent years building one of the country's standout collegiate esports programs.
But this program is not limited to any single school. We're actively welcoming applications from students at all universities — so long as your academic background and work experience align with what the Outcome.GG roadmap needs. Great engineers come from everywhere, and we intend to find them wherever they are.
What You'll Do
This is a builder's program. Here's what your time with us looks like:
Ship Real Product Code
Work directly on the Outcome.GG codebase — native iOS app, on-chain escrow, live-stream market pipeline, and the Supabase/AWS backend. Your commits go into the product, not a throwaway sandbox.
Drive Toward Beta
Help us close the gap between MVP and public launch — feature builds, testing, security hardening, and the polish that turns a proof of concept into a platform real players trust with real money.
Learn From Operators
Collaborate side-by-side with our founding team and Dr. Ray Pastore’s esports operations group. Weekly reviews, mentorship, and honest feedback on your engineering and your growth.
Build a Portfolio That Matters
Graduate the program with shipped features, production experience in fintech-grade systems, and a reference from a team that watched you build something people actually use.
Who We're Looking For
We care far more about drive, curiosity, and demonstrated ability than about pedigree. If the following sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you:
- Current students or recent grads in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience with modern web or mobile stacks (React, TypeScript, Node, Swift, or similar)
- Curiosity about fintech, blockchain/on-chain systems, real-time data, or esports infrastructure
- A bias toward shipping — you’d rather build, break, and iterate than wait for perfect instructions
- Academic and work experience that genuinely aligns with the Outcome.GG roadmap
You don't need to check every box. If you're close and you're hungry, apply anyway — we'd rather bet on someone determined than pass on someone great because of a technicality.
Why It Matters
Getting Outcome.GG to beta and then to a public launch is one of the most important things we'll do this year. Doing it with a team of ambitious young engineers — people who will carry this experience into the rest of their careers — makes it that much more meaningful. We're building a product and a pipeline of talent at the same time, and we couldn't be more excited about who we'll build it with.
